    First and foremost we genuinely care about our clients.  However, just caring about our clients is not nearly enough. 

    Let’s face it, the industry of financial services can be very confusing and with a lot of different “financial professionals” offering advice and different opinions you might feel the deck is stacked against you.  The reality is not all advisors are equal in experience, area of expertise, licensure, and structure.
    When you are searching to hire the right advisor we believe it is vital to understand a little about our industry and what questions to ask.  More importantly is to know the answers to those questions and make sure an advisor has the right characteristics in the following areas:

    Experience

    Working with an advisor with experience is perhaps the most obvious and one of the most important characteristics. 

    Our founder and CEO John Schnorr has over 20 years of experience designing solutions for retirees to preserve their wealth and help them secure their retirement.

    Expertise

    Choosing and right advisor is similar to choosing the right physician depending on your medical condition.  If you have a heart condition you seek out a physician who specializes in cardiology.  Just the same, if you are transitioning into retirement or already retired it makes sense to find an advisor who specializes working with retirees and understands how to solve the unique challenges they face. 

    At United Safeguard Financial Group we specialize working with retirees and those within 5 to 10 years of retirement.  We understand the unique challenges of getting to retirement and more importantly getting our clients through retirement without running out of money.  Our strategies are focused on income and growing our clients assets without taking unnecessary risks. 

    Full Licensure

    If an advisor is not fully licensed they are limited in the types of investments they can offer you.  For example if an advisor is only insurance licensed they can only sell annuities and life insurance which may not be the best solution.  Likewise if a broker works for a brokerage firm they may only be securities licensed and can only offer securities.

     At United Safeguard Financial Group we are Fiduciary Advisors and are fully licensed in both insurance and securities.  This allows us to offer our clients what is always in their best interest.  We always adhere to Fiduciary Standards.

    Independent Structure

    The Company a financial professional works for is another critical aspect when choosing an advisor and it most always will predetermine if you are educated in a biased way and ultimately “sold” a financial product.  For example if an advisor works for a captive company that has their own proprietary products you will be sold one of them which may not be right for you.  It is bit like car shopping and going to the Ford dealership where they can only sell you a Ford.  There may very well be a much better option from another company that is much better to meet your goals but they do not have it available to offer you.  Similarly, the advisor who works a brokerage firm may only be only to offer you products that pay out through the commission grid of the brokerage firm which may not be in your best interest.
